Fast acting and silent

Hydronic radiators

Wall-mounted panels that deliver soft, clean warmth off the same hydronic system, for rooms where in-floor heating cannot go.

Radiator

A hydronic radiator is a fast-acting, wall-mounted heating panel designed to deliver soft, clean and highly economical warmth. It works by circulating hot water or a glycol mixture through internal waterways, using convector fins welded directly to those channels to rapidly warm the surrounding room.

Unlike central forced-air units that blow air, a hydronic radiator operates completely silently and without circulating dust or allergens. It distributes heat through a balanced combination of 70% natural convection, warming air as it rises past the panel, and 30% direct radiant warmth, heating people and objects.

Equipped for smart temperature management through programmable wall thermostats, hydronic radiators are particularly suited for bedrooms or spaces with lightweight timber floor structures where heavy in-floor heating systems cannot be installed.

Installation

Depending on the design and requirements of the space, radiators can be installed either on the wall or mounted directly to the floor. Hydronic pipework is planned and installed within the wall cavities and subfloor during the early stages of construction, before plasterboard and floor finishes are fitted.

Radiator sizes are selected and calculated for each individual room to suit the room size, layout and heating requirements. Each radiator can be fitted with its own thermostatic valve, allowing simple room-by-room temperature adjustment.

For wall-mounted radiators, suitable structural support must be installed within the wall framing behind the plasterboard to safely support the weight of the radiator.

Things to consider

  • Each panel is sized to match the specific dimensions and heating demands of individual rooms.
  • For wall-mounted panels, extra internal timber or metal blocking must be built into the frame to safely anchor the weight of the unit.
  • Combine the comfort of underfloor heating with the flexibility of radiators.
